   An act relating to prisoners.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   AB 874, as introduced, Donnelly. Prisoners.
   Existing law establishes the Department of Corrections and
Rehabilitation and charges it with various duties and
responsibilities. Existing law generally regulates the conditions of
incarceration and release for prisoners confined in state prisons.
   This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation relating to prisoners.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation relating to prisoners.
